Actually, he'd probably be amused by your drawings. He had a lot more of a sense of humour about his work than a lot of people (especially his more rabid fans) do. He just thought "Herbert West---Reanimator" was hackwork from his early period.

Kind of like how you may feel looking back at early drawings you did for assignments: "Was I ever THAT bad?"

He also didn't care for how he'd had to re-cap the earlier action at the start of each new part---the stories had been serialized somewhere.
