Forget Watson. This scene is all about Holmes. And Open Canvas and the spiny rock monster I'm avoiding. Imagine there is a lamp on the table, and possibly a half-drunk tumbler of sherry, and Watson, and that I can paint smoke, and that the chair in the background actually works.
[upon arriving home] Blast, my monitor really IS way too dark at work. How does one change settings on a Cintiq? I'll have to tweak everything at home if this keeps up... |
Curse this early Daylight Savings time! I wake up in the dark, which is twice as hard, and I'm still set to 'can't leave work till after sunset' mode. If it was still Old School, the days would get long enough while on 'regular' time to slowly erase these cues and the transition wouldn't be as jarring.
And my radio schedule is thrown off because we're out of sync with the UK.
Don't even get me STARTED on Halloween.
I digress. I shall go home now and do my sketchbook.

Can I just say, thank god for your one-track mind. It really makes my day. ^_^

As for the daylight saving time thing, I vote that either we stay on it all the time, or never go on it. My preference would be for the later. It's unnatural.

Which story is Jittery Holmes from? Adventure of Reigate Squire, or Last Case?

also, since you were on a Lovecraft kick as well, the short story "Study in Emerald" by Neil Gaiman.
