I think it doesn't work because mass marketing religion cheapens it; there's no personality in it, no emotion. It's just "Yay, I love Jesus!" Even though I'm not religious, I think some religious music is beautiful-- Ave Maria, Amazing Grace.

But if I ever hear "Our God is an Awesome God" again, I may have to cut a bitch.
