I think it's a shame that telling is so firmly pushed against in modern literature. Scanning the list of bestsellers it's populated with the likes of Dan Brown, who can't write beautiful, reflective prose to save his life, and concentrates far too much on action. McKinley's style is certainly not for everyone, but there are still those of us who like a slightly slower, more ponderous, read.

Anyway, that's a rather random comment. :p I drop by occasionally to admire your artwork, but as always, a literary post pulls me out of lurking ...
