You know, I used to be so familiar with techniques for living with rain as a daily reality that they were second nature ...
It's amazing what three years in California can make you forget.
I was also reminded that once one is soaked to the skin, it no longer matters how hard it's raining. That fact is something of a comfort, oddly enough.
I do wear stockings with my shoes but black-on-black isn't so good for the diagrams ...
