J'ai écouté à Radio-Canada ces semaines pour obtenir un sens(?) pour le français, avant Noël avec ma famille Québecoise, et heureusement j'ai assez de la langue pour retrouver ce chanson:
By way of an exercise, and to assuage the curious, here's my best attempt at translating the lyrics. I am absolutely certain to mangle this, so if you speak French (you know who you are), please please correct me – I want to learn!

Si la vie c'est de naître ou mourir
Lequel des remords ou des triomphes sont les plus féconds
S'il vaut mieux trouver des réponses ou poser des questions
S'il faut retenir les prénoms pis enterrer les noms
Si c'est perdre son temps qu'espérer la moisson
Saches si la peur est un trésor si la fuite est la mort

Il faut que tu saches
Si l'amour est un ciel ou une prison
Si ton sexe est une fleur un poison ta peau qu'une saison

Tes mains doivent tenir fermement ou s'ouvrir tendrement
Quel sang irrigue ton coeur si tu détiens celui des autres
Saches s'il faut mieux lâcher prise ou combattre en mordant

That the important thing was not to know, but never to forget to seek for those who will come after you

*Like, when someone dies their name stays with you but you bury their body? As far as I know 'prénom' means like a given name, and 'nom' can mean 'name' but it can also mean 'noun' so it's a poetic metaphor sort of thing? Even if I've got it more or less accurate, I've definitely slaughtered the poetry. My work here is done.
And on the English side:
So the world's ending on Friday, right? Right? There's an Ideas program for that. Specifically, everything you need to know – and lots of stuff you probably had no idea about but is pretty darn interesting – about the Mayan calendar, its uses, cycles, applications, history, etc. Give it a listen while you still have a chance!
