Too tired for complete sentences

Home. Not as many drawings as hoped. CBC not off lockout yet, alas. Must have tea.

8:56 pm - Having Caught my Breath
So, the wedding is over, and I have survived.... Really it wasn't as bad* as I was fearing. The location was stunningly gorgeous even though it was raining and chilly most of the time (I like rain...). The ceremony was nice, the guests pleasant. I don't even know if there was any ribald conversation at the reception dinner table because I was on the end and couldn't hear anything over the music, so spent most of the night in my own little cloud.** And there was food.

I managed to get a whopping total of ONE drawing done all weekend – I spent most of my time practising the violin or eating and the one day I had a nice stretch of uninterrupted time, I had a drawing block, which was alleviated too late, alas. The weekend wasn't about drawing anyway, so I shouldn't be complaining.
Undecided Adrian

Appropriately enough, Undecided Adrian is the member of the Smoking Gnu that has given me the most problems... I had a sort of epiphany at work the other day and doodled down some ideas (which may find their way into this cut tomorrow – STAY TUNED) but still didn't get it quite right, then I drew this on Saturday. It felt very close to being right at the time but now I'm not so sure. Oh, Mr Emery, why are you so coy? All I want to do is make a bittersweet black-and-white 'photo' of the original four members of the Gnu being all happy, because every secret organization – especially one on the losing end of a battle against an evil power-grubbing madman, which has lost one or more members in a tragic and/or suspicious way thereby saddening but increasing the resolve of its remaining members – needs one of those.

*By 'bad,' of course, I mean 'tiresome and/or annoying' because I have a severely constricted vocabulary at the moment.
**Insert humourous bean song here.
