Yes, but, if you take it out of context, and use it not to imply the larger whole but as a line standing on its own, the subject changes from 'these dadgum whippersnappers' to, instead, what is self-evident in the quote itself, humanity.

It's funny to think you're all sleeping on the other side of the world...
And I'm alone on the LJ community (or almost); and posting non sense and useless things to fight the boring. ... How de you say this "boriness" ? Oh god, I'm SO bad. It may be too early to me to speak a correct english... well no, it's 11:20 a.m. ! I guess I'm just bad today.

I was at school and I had a poppy on and I asked this (...) girl, when remembrance day was.
She got upset and said its the 11 of the 11 on the 11th hour of the 11 day.
So I said at least I know when 7/11 is...then she got pissed off cause I'm so retarded
