Piccy Dump
So many pics, they have to be in link list format!
The Ought to be Life Drawing Collection:
Vorbis - I listened to the Small Gods radio play earlier that day. The model looked disturbingly similar to a former classmate of mine so I spent more time doodling than usual.
Vorbis again - I really need to stop doing this whole make-up-the-pose-as-you-go-along thing. It's a bad habit. Bad. One should always keep the whole pose in mind, so all parts of the drawing can reinforce it. this one was like ... 'Hmm, I feel like drawing a hand, let's put one there ... oh, and he can tuck his arm behind his back, I know exactly what the anatomy and drapery should look like for that!'
More Vorbises - Here he looks a bit too much like Brett Helquist's take on The Bald Man With The Long Nose. I was immensely amused to learn that the 'Vorbis' part of the Ogg Vorbis file format is, in actual fact, and I am not making this up, named after this character. Unfortunately 'Ogg' seems to be jargon from an online Star Trek sort of game thing. It's still an amusing juxtaposition of characters, though.
Brutha - Mostly identical to all the other drawings of Brutha, but I liked him more than the model, so there.
The Who Let Her Read Going Postal Again? Collection
Jim 'Leadpipe' Upwright - Eh? Damn right! (I might colour this one because I have so much free time right now. Someone smack me.) Yeah yeah, liberal doses of TP's Long John... Fewer than five hundred chins, though. This could probably do with some angularizing now that I look back at it...
Joe Camels - Mayor of Sto Lat, who is 'a short, bird-like man, who'd either become mayor very recently and immediately after the post hd been held by a big fat man, or thought that a robe that trailed several feet behind you and a chain that reached to the waist was the look for civic dignitaries this year.' Not quite how I see him in my head, but fun enough to post...
Moist Bath - 'It was only a hip bath, but at least there was an ice house in the city. Moist sat in a state of bliss amongst the floating ice, drinking a brandy, and listened to the commotion outside.
After a while there was a knock on the door, and a male voice enquired: "Are you decent, Mr Postmaster?"
"Thoroughly decent, but not dressed," said Moist. He reached down beside him and put his wingèd hat on again. "Do come in."'
I thought this was just an amusing little scene but my sister saw it and recoiled in horror at Moist pr0n. It's not that bad is it? I'm so desensitized to naked people I just can't tell anymore.
The Odd One Out

Exploiting the Ignorance of Strangers - a.k.a. observational sketches, which I don't do nearly enough of. This is how you learn to draw clothes! The trick is to remember how to simplify it.

The moist Moist isn't 'porn' per se, but something about his grin and raised glass is positively screaming, "Join me?" Maybe that's it...

Hah, I do the exact same thing with poses. I draw the action line, then the sphere for the face and I draw the shoulder blades and sometimes I just stop there (or I have both arms on there, and I don't like how one is...and I change it and it ends up looking very stiff because of it.)
I really like the one guy's design. (the one with the big nose...I haven't looked at it in a few minutes, so, I dunno who he is...but the one with the big nose that kinda attaches directly to the forehead with no indentation for the eye sockets. If that makes any sense lol)
