Fighting with Undecided Adrian
Yeah, I've reached the Smoking Gnu part of the book, so it's time once again to run repeatedly into a brick wall, i.e. try to draw Undecided Adrian. I thought I might have gotten on the right track at Life Drawing on Monday when I doodled this lineup in an attempt to find the shape that would work with the other two:

Unfortunatley neither of the following sketchbook pages got any closer.
(Page 1) (Page 2) ... Page 1 also has some sketches for a friend's story idea, in case you're wondering who the random people are.
FAIL. :P

I rather like Imposing Moustached Fellow, whoever he is.

Nice line-up. If only real programmers were so cute! I like the gnu horns- kind of a nice almost Viking touch. Adrian is cute, too. If I remember you had an earlier drawing of him with long hair (I may be going senile at this point so forgive me) tied back in a tail. I liked that version, too. I am, of course, partial to long haired guys (or at least ones who take care of it).
Otherwise, I noted on Paul Kidby's site the cover for Making Money. He has Moist von Lipwig (still in gold) and doing a pretty good juggling/Fred Astaire impression. Very cute picture! Now I wish I lived in England!
Adrian's hair
For some weird reason...
Re: Adrian's hair
I'm actually in two minds about the hair because as an alchemist he ought to have it all nearly singed off ... but I've decided that clacks chemistry isn't quite as volatile (despite the exploding coloured liquid tubes) so he can have more interesting hair if he wants. I think.
