Enabling Further Addiction

IT LIIIIIVES!

Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is still online FREE*!
*with short but slightly irritating ads

Yeeeesssss.

EDIT: It appears even this is US-access only. (Or is it North America? Verification from Canada?) Bloody fences on the open range of cyberspace...

I've linked to Act One because in my opinion it loses something when you don't have to manually launch the next episode (which you do by scrolling down and finding its link), but if you want to watch it straight through there's that option too.

wants to know the story behind the rest of the evil leaguers or evil.

( is not surprised that the creator of the Tick was involved )

I wonder what 'Very special thanks' means ...

[identity profile] mincot.livejournal.com 2008-08-13 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Hulu has the three episodes separately,t oo, so you can have The Full Experience.

And yes, I want to know the story behind the rest of the Evil League of Evil ... and exactly HOW Bad Horse carries out his (presumably) Evil Plans.

[identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com 2008-08-13 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Sweet! Thanks for the heads up, I have changed the link.

I feel like a Jehovah's Witness dude, bugging people and asking "Have you discovered Dr. Horrible yet?"
Then I invite myself into their living room and make them watch the first episode.

There are rumours of a fourth episode. Could it be true?

[identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com 2008-08-13 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know! This has been mentioned on the Disney forums but it might be wishful extrapolation of hints ... I don't know whether to be excited at more, or disappointed that it may not be a complete second story arc.

I would so join your proselytzing campaign. I could be the one who gets moved by the spirit and makes people uncomfortable. :)

Re: Disney forums –
I should clarify: internal message boards, not, like, official Disney online website type things. Because Disney is not involved with the production in any way.

Too bad it's US-only access.:/

[identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com 2008-08-13 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
WHAT? Bloody websites ... I wish they'd say so on the page itself so well-meaning Americans don't go promising entertainment to the rest of the world.

Grr.

I can only find peace if I imagine it to be retribution for the BBC TV iPlayer being UK-only. Even if I could pay the license fee. Grumble.

A week ago the Hulu video embedded in the Dr. Horrible website was working up here (in canadia). Now it isn't.

Or maybe it's a home/work thing. I mean, I saw it from home, on my PC, up here in canada. Now I check it again, from work, and it no work. Draw your own conclusions.

[identity profile] harbek.livejournal.com 2008-08-13 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a good thing I eventually got hold of it illegally. Us poor European. And I'm not even in the UK, so everything UK restricted also gets locked from me. But whenever it comes out available on DVD or whatever, I am so buying it.

[identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com 2008-08-13 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
They've hinted at vast swathes of bonus features, too, so yeah ... DVD is a must.

I just hope they make it multi-region. I mean really.

[identity profile] harbek.livejournal.com 2008-08-13 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Honestly. Although my DVD player is region free, and my computer has one DVD player for region 1 and one for region 2. But still, not everyone are that lucky.

Mmmm, bonus features...

This is possibly the only other thing on Earth with a character named Moist.

And yes hello I am totally creepily lurking on your journal after finding your drawings on the interwebs, I promise it's not as shady as it looks--!

[identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Heehee, yeah, it's a bit of a shock the first time, isn't it?

This journal's made for lurkin', that's what it lets you do; one of these days this journal's gonna ... lurk ... all over ... you?

[identity profile] followthatcab.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Aww, thanks! For what it's worth you are absolutely the shit.

[identity profile] sequie.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 11:17 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, it wasn´t US-acces only until yesterday. I watched it on Hulu 3 days ago without any problems, showed it to my cousin 2 days ago, but when I wanted to re-watch it yesterday... well, you know the end of the stroy *sigh*
I´m currently in Germany, by the way, but I also had acces to this little gem in Poland a week ago.

Damn you, copyright issues!

[identity profile] azvolrien.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
OK, I'll have to get this if/when it comes out on DVD. I have a multiregion DVD player.

[identity profile] beckychan.livejournal.com 2008-08-14 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
That was bloody fantastic! I WANT THE SOUNDTRACK!

[identity profile] danicarip.livejournal.com 2008-08-16 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you very much for introducing me to the sparkling gem* that is "Dr. Horrible." While I'm at it, I may as well thank you for introducing me to "Discworld," a real Cullinan diamond. I've now read (and own) the entire series plus Kidby volumes and have dressed up as Susan Sto Helit.

So, yeah, it would appear that I'm in your debt :)

*at least until I tried transporting it to my house; now it's a ramekin of murky liquid. I'll get it right someday...

[identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com 2008-08-16 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
No worries, there is no debt here – I'm just paying forward the debt I owe to those who introduced these things to me. It's all part of my campaign to rule better the world via exposure to good storytelling and intelligent satire.

Hee!
