Borrowed Time

My massive offensive manoeuvre of Vitamin C has, for the moment, stalled the progress of Plague 2005. I hope the pathogens do not regroup and offer a reprisal before tomorrow, at which time I am obliged to be looking at portfolios and answering questions at my alma mater's open house ... I'd rather not add "spreading disease" to the duties performed that day, especially as afterwards we're going to the pub for dinner.

This morning on the CBC they had a segment about Esref Armagan, a painter in Iran who's been blind from birth. Totally blind. From birth. He's a painter. You can see some of his work here ... Holy crow. Talk about humbling.

Ubiquitouspitt, you'd better be having a great time right now.

I have ... finished ... A History of Britain.

There will never be anything good on TV again.

Hmmmm

If he is blind, how does he know what color to use? How does he know where the colors are on his palette? Just wondering. Edify me, please. I'd canvas the neighborhood for answers, but I'd probably just get the brush-off.

Alas! I can read no more! I, myself, shall be stricken blind if my sight is to be cast upon the radiance of such tremendous punnery once again...

(Tealin, call the mental health department. Quickly, now, while he is distracted.)

The works numbered 19-25 from the first link are absolutely wonderful, particularly the landscapes. I'm no art critic or artist, but I know what I like. These are brilliant.
