The Ides of March Are Past

Drew this in bed, ten minutes before falling asleep. There's my cat, who in an unusual act of affection actually slept on the other end of the bed from me (he's a bit standoffish) and a knock-off of one of those "inspirational" posters, using an image from the beginning of Going Postal. Then there's an approximation of a drawing I did of Mr. Gryle in life drawing a couple weeks ago (the model was really boring so that's OK!) but I think the original is better. I think a little of the Silverwing experience shows through, eh? Really, you learn one way of drawing bipedal bats and it just sticks.
I scanned this on the extremely zippy scanner at work (the day hasn't started yet so that's OK!) and the big grey area up top there ... well. Sorry about that. Also I don't know what the brightness/contrast levels are because I'm not used to seeing my sketchbook on this monitor. So if this is totally throwing off your day, I apologise. (If this is actuallythrowing off your day ... get a life! And this is coming from me, a.k.a. No-Life Girl!)
Good gravy, I have a lot of work to do.

I thought he was going to eat me when I tried to take a picture of him.
