Cabin Pressure Advent: Cremona

"Well it's a nice room."
I wasn't intending to do a fully-rendered colour piece, but if I left it in line you wouldn't be able to tell they were in an elevator, and as soon as I dropped in the marble texture it demanded more than just a values wash ... so now it's 1:10 am, but I have something I like.
I had decided I wanted to buck expectations with my depiction of Hester Macauley, but listening to her voice, she simply had to be bony, have long straight blonde hair, and a wide mouth with narrow lips; there was no getting around it. Next time!
Really looking forward to Douz ... but now, sleep.

Hester looks just about old enough to have played the Lady of the Lake, but still be pretty, in that bony, slightly-overstretched way modern leading ladies in Hollywood tend to be. I love the contrast with Douglas' more mobile face.

Thanks for your comments on Ms Macauley – that's exactly what I was going for!

SO MUCH LOVE!!
And seriously, as someone who has problems drawing a line drawing of a rubber duck in her Xmas cards, this is awesome... of course, I also failed O'Levels art, so yeah...I'll stick with photography. ;)
Again, LOVE THIS!!! :D
ETA: I just realised that my icon, while featuring Donna, is actually saying something Arthur would say, which I completely agree. Hee!

As someone who does art for a living I'm still inordinately proud of this one – it turned out far better than I hoped, never mind expected. :D
Icon yay! Has anyone ever written an Arthur-as-Companion fic? Seems like a sure-fire idea to me ...
