I think this speaks for itself.

I guess

Does this mean that Howl will have to get married in a church?

(For the humorously impaired: He can't elope)

Wow. Howl's Moving Melon?

[identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com 2005-06-10 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Howl's... Moving ... Cantaloupe.

[identity profile] meltedtuna.livejournal.com 2005-06-10 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. Excuse me. Cantaloupe

LMFAO. L-M-F-A-O.

[identity profile] crypticidentity.livejournal.com 2005-06-11 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
And...I...am so lost. It's a British thing, isn't it?

[identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com 2005-06-11 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Well, the absurd sense of humour, yes, and the cut-out oddness is distinctly Gilliam, but otherwise it's just what you get when my sister and I try to have a conversation and don't quite hear each other properly.

"Howl's Moving Castle's out today" became "Howl's Moving Canteloupe today"

COME BACK HERE YOU MELON!!!!!

[identity profile] bananabasket.livejournal.com 2005-06-11 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Japanese.

With a Tealin twist?

[identity profile] anathelen.livejournal.com 2005-06-11 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Well, someone's using their... cantalope.

[identity profile] lyshigz1989.livejournal.com 2005-06-11 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, no, it really doesnt.... what the crap is that thing? Wait, is that a MELON with LEGS!?

I know this should be e-mailed to you, but...

Dear, in your F.A.Q you said you would not draw fanfic characters. By this i believe you mean characters that the writer of the fanfic made, not the already existing characters. But i was wondering if you draw pictures, say it illustrate, of the fanfiction in question, when there are no made-up characters in it? I was wondering it while looking at your wonderful gallery. And later, while i was working on my fanfiction, i saw it, as usual, as a drawn movie in my head. But now i was imagining it in your style, not the one wich i usually use. Then i decided to ask this question directly to you.

P.S. I know this should be emailed to you, but when i clicked the link my computer became a bitch and wouldn't let me see the page.
P.S.2. My mum actually likes your Prisoner of Azkaban gallery. Congratulate yourself, it doesn't happen often.

Very well, then ...

No, I don't illustrate fanfics. Usually the resquest is in the context of a new character, but I don't illustrate any fanfic, because I don't read any fanfic (as explained on my FAQ page). Sorry!

Oh my God... I was so confused when I first saw this. Eventually I clicked on comments to find out what it was all about.

I'm actually going to see HMC tomorrow. *is excited*

[identity profile] thorn-of-blood.livejournal.com 2005-06-12 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
What? Why is there a melon with legs? When exactly does a giant melon with legs appear in HMC? Why are the people who make films forcing me to endure the torture of turning an amazing book into...something that has giant melons with legs in it? Why?

I'm sorry, I have issues, mainly with what the HP books are being turned into but sometimes it spills over.

No, no, no, this was entirely my idea. Miyazaki-san might have done things with the source material but he never did this. See the explanation above re: mondegreens.

Ah, now it all makes sense. I am slightly stressed at the moment, exams and all.
