Heard of it in the radio while on an end of year trip. Most of my mates had families in London , and seems that a teacher's father was there. Se me ha venido el alma abajo...
I happened to be on the phone with a friend when I herd the news. I creid out so loud she thought I was dying. I've been in a state of shock all morning- it's just TERRIBLE!
I watched BBC 1 and ITV all this morning, and gads it was stupid. They kept looping the same footage over and over, and then going off into wild speculations about what had happened to cover up the fact that they knew nothing.
It's an awful thing - the worst of it for my family is that my aunt and uncle live on Tavistock Square! Luckily they were both at work, but they have to go to their daughter's flat tonight because it's still cordonned off.
Oh, and Blair's speeches were spot on. Good on him for coming back but letting the meetings go on. I was very impressed with his handling of the situation.
I heard on the news, it seemed so surreal. Thank god more people weren't hurt... reminds me somewhat of the chemical attacks on subways in Asia. Are they certain Al Queda's behind it? It was orchestrated right after London's win concerning the Olympics, but it seems to have been planned for a long time. Unfortuante coincidence? Aggh, it gets me mad, because you can never fully beat those guys... Again, my condolence to all London and anyone who's been affected...
I was at school when we got the news. They wouldn't tell us anything, and i think that made us more scared than if they had told us what was happening. We ended up turning the tv on before history, and getting yelled at by the teacher, but at least we knew what was going on. Two of my freinds had family in london. One of them couldn't get through to her dad, and when she finally did , she couldn't stop crying. This world is crazy.
