In regards to a show during which this eminent biologist and environmentalist's most recent book will be discussed:

David Suzuki with David Suzuki: The Autobiography
Sunday, May 7, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
He has been described as the "Jamie Oliver of Quebec", where this charismatic chef and author is simply known as Ricardo. Come meet this future star of Food Network Canada!

In other news, Dwarfs are apparently Welsh ... this stands to reason.

Nothing much to do with the book specifically, but here they are anyway.

Nice Cintiq drawings (the one on the right reminds me a little bit of the cute older guy from Waking Ned Devine and Charlie and the Chocolate factory - the Grandfather) and wouldn't it be cool if there was a Japanese guy nicknamed "Ricardo" who wrote books, taught science and biology, traveled the world promoting environmentalism, and had his own cooking show on TV?? He'd be like Buckaroo Banzai!

Hi there!

I like the drawings and the Thud! reference- not sure if you were referring to music or the book.

I did want to let you know I am now in Iceland. You had written earlier about Icelandic folklore. I can pick up a folk tales book for you in English here if you are interested. I know they sell them tax free in the airport here. I don't know the price, but they are pretty good books (There is a whole series of them).

I will be here till Thursday but checking my email. Let me know.

BTW- they have some hilarious Discworld like ads here showing 'An Idea from Iceland" with great photoshopping so it looks real. IThey show here an image of something Icelandic in a destination where it does not belong. My favorite one so far is an image of a British police officer (like maybe someone who is mounted police or bicycle cop) patroling a street in London on an Icelandic horse. THe horse has these cute little reflecter anklets around its leg like a bike would have, and they match the cop uniform.

Otherwise, I even got a basket of fruit in my hotel room delivered by a very cute guy. Nice... you can“t go wrong with fruit baskets.

Ricardo is one of the best names ever, but not very fitting here ^_^

I dislike David Suzuki. I was in a musical where he played the narrator, and all he did was eat entire pizzas by himself and refuse to give 10-year-olds an autograph.
