Animation Assignment - Part I

I am making slow, slow progress on Disneyboy's animation assignment, but I have one thing to show for it, at last! A Klaus rotation! I may have gone a bit too far in modifying his proportions to be slightly more animation-friendly ... he looks about five years younger than he should here. I may modify it later. I'm not crazy about the back of the hair, and the pose looks a bit stilted in some of the angles ... But it feels good to have done something that exercised my long-dormant draughtsmanship muscles and got me flipping paper again.

Okay, now I've looked back a bit more, I'm definitely going to age him up a bit more. But this was fun.

(Oh, in case you're wondering about the accoutrements – the scene I'm doing is from the Hostile Hospital, that bit about 'a severe lack of moral stamina.' Hence the knife (which IS a Bowie knife, more or less) and the lab coat.)

The cuteness of Klaus is OVERWHELMING. I had to supress a serious "Squee".

And of course, it figures that the one part I was PARTICULARLY impressed with was the back of his hair...

OOoh, I love when you draw stuff like this! It gets me into an animation-y mood. x3 I like the second pose the best ... but maybe that's because I'm so used to seeing Klaus in that view. And your clean up lines are the greatest. So smooth and flowy! :D
