... I know of a movie, for instance, called The Happy Elf, which tells the story of a teensy-weensy little man who scurries around the North Pole having all sorts of adorable adventures, and you can see at once why you should probably watch The Happy Elf and wriggle over all the lovely things that happened to this imaginary creature in a made-up place, instead of reading this blog ...

As far as I know, it is for real. The question is ... does it contain any coded messages?

Hey! I translated that movie into Spanish for dubbing! And I still have the original CD!

To paraphrase a clever person, the coded message is "We turned up the suck."

Is it just me, or does he look freakishly like Opie?

No WAY. That is both cool and ... cool. What an interesting job!

Were there many ringing bells?

The fact that it's narrated by Dean makes it even weirder.

Think of all the clichés you would find in a christmas elf movie: lotsa bells, a hyperactive, noble but clumsy elf, green outfits with funny hats and pointy shoes, a cheesy happy ending... and you've got it.

BTW sorry if the message appears twice, my internet connection is doing funny things.

One might even call it a vacuous film diversion.

Hey! I saw that on DVD at Borders! I'm so dense; I didn't even make a connection. I guess I was so preoccupied with whatever is was I was looking for at the time, that I just walked away from it with the vague impression of having missed something ...

So, yes, it most certainly exists on DVD, but I cannot remember who made it, or anything like that.
