tealinI have just rediscovered how much I love Blackadder Goes Forth. It's wonderfully silly but really quite dark, with occasional moments of surprising poignancy that prove how well the actors have filled their otherwise comic roles.* Now, in the vein of Scary Mary, comes a 'trailer' for the epic, tragic tale of Capt. E. Blackadder & Co.
Needless to say, it's funnier if you're familiar with the series, and most funny if you've watched it recently enough to remember the context for most of the scenes they used. But it's better than all of the trailers I saw in front of Children of Men which were a real crop of duds...
*Or how well it's written. Or both. Or neither, and I'm finding something where there isn't anything really. Suits me fine, whatever.
