My sister tried to get a sugar-free cinnamon dolce latte from Starbucks on Sunday only to discover that, according to the barista, there was no sugar-free cinnamon syrup in the entire city. Considering that the number of Starbuckses here would warrant a container ship specifically designated to keep this city stocked, that's quite something. We concluded that the syrup had been hijacked by the notoroius Seattle coffee pirates.

I think I'm going to go over this again and sort out some silhouette problems that I stumbled into when drawing them all separately. (That was a brilliant idea.)

*blinks* Let me get this straight, a coffee shortage in Seattle? Isn't that like a bagel shortage in New York?

It's not a coffee shortage, just a syrup shortage, and as far as I know, only this one specific variety of syrup... But yeah, shocking, eh?

Okay, they need their own adorable video game. With the big tree monster from a while back in it. And the zombie guy... yeah. Game. You'll be a millionaire.

Sure, I'm up for that ... (Or should I say ... I'm game? Ahahaaha, ha) Got any ideas? You can keep the credit!

Come to think of it, the collusion of caffeine piracy and reanimation is perfect. After all, is this not one of the primary purposes of coffea arabica? Brilliant! Or else I am mad! Possibly both!

I love this. Like everything you've done lately it has a very powerful triangular composition. It seems even your random sketches have more action flowing out of them than most comic books.

Well, you've got the conflict already built in: pirates need coffee. Zombies need coffee. Aristotle would have approved!

I have a friend in games I tried to pitch a "Master and Commander" game to. Unfortunately his eyes started to glaze over when I explained it would mostly be about arranging the sails to gain maximum wind advantage. He did think it was promising than my "Dr. Johnson Quotations Game" mind you.

Aah, I love the costumes! I don't know how much you intended this, but they're all a wonderfully wacky combination between 18th century and modern-day styles, like how the guy with the glasses has square-toed buckle shoes and breeches, but also has a very modern looking pocketed vest. Props for the shoeless street (?) kid in the too-big coat. You make me want to write a short story or tv script about them.
