Boy oh boy!

BBC7 is running daily Sherlock Holmes radio plays and if the continuity announcer was dropping the hints it sounded like she was dropping, they could be on for quite some time. On top of that, [livejournal.com profile] thearchduchess dropped a marvellously handy link to an archive of The 99p Challenge, the most delightfully daft game show* (THANK YOU), hence the crazed look in my eyes, and the CBC reran their Ideas about the Global Consciousness Project so I've been flying high on radio bliss for two days now. All I need now is for either Radio 4 or BBC7 to rerun 2006's Charm Offensive and I may possibly go into a coma of coolness.

Someday I'll buy myself nice headphones like those ... My hands are drawn in two different styles! I don't care! Yay!

*ISIHAC is not actually played for points or prizes (despite what Humph may goad the audience into saying), or at least none are handed out at the end of the show. So ... is it technically a game show if nobody wins, or is it a Dadaist sketch comedy? 99p's 99p and identifiable winner lands it in secure game show territory, in my personal dictionary. I can't believe I've written a whole paragraph on this.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was more in reaction to your drawing than to Holmes, but yay Holmes anyway! But yeah, your drawing is infectuously happy.

Can you hear the radio play online?

Sweet, thanks for mentioning that. Now I will be wasting even more time every day not doing my work! However, it is totally worth it because it's Sherlock Holmes and, even better, A Scandal in Bohemia.

...is that really what you look like? I can only imagine you looking like a hand animated character.

Merrison and Williams are for me the definitive Holmes and Watson. I loved every one of the episodes, and the guest stars made them an even bigger treat.

The BBC's Radio Inspector Morse and Cadfael were great too, I think it's because they only get to use their voices that they give a much more expressive performance, but that could be just me. I love the television Holmes and Watson, Morse, and Cadfael, they were must see programs for me, but there's something about the audio dramas that I enjoy more. I can't put my finger on it.

Glad you like it! I listened to all 30 episodes in three days, but have sworn off them til my flight to Greece next month so that they're nice and fresh.
