Not meant for anyone in particular. Just my general sentiment.

Tonight was life drawing but I sneaked in a couple of doodles: Irene Adler, who looks like Tealin's Standard Issue 19th Century Woman, and the Long White Hand which doesn't look anything at all like a horizontal version of Aunt Josephine's hand in The Wide Window. The bottle looks a lot like my ink bottle. IS THIS A COINCIDENCE? Is it lack of imagination? Or is it the state of my mind when I sit down at my desk in the morning, still groggy from having to wake up in the dark, and disoriented by not being able to start my day with PM, which leads to me blindly stumbling my way into the comforting orange/yellow arms of BBC7? It's CRACK, I tell you. CRACK. 'Specially now that Dr Pfeffer's [Inexplicably Addictive] Lonely Hearts Club is over.

... CRACK.

What's the verdict? Do we like Picasa? Or should I go back to Photobucket? Or use Photobucket for the blog but Picasa for a ... a searchable archive categorized by fandom, or something? (Wait a minute, isn't that what my webiste is for?)

That "ARGH SHIPPERS" pretty much sums up my whole feeling for the HP fandom XD XD XD

I like Irene Adler's hair and her expression is so fantastic, cracks me up XD It's like just this side of smugly amused. I think it's her lips that do it.

I didn't know Photobucket did a slideshow ... I thought my links just took you to the plain old image, which Picasa doesn't seem capable of doing.

Actually, I think I'm going to make a Holmes subalbum (is that possible?) and try that out as a sort of 'see-'em-all-at-once!' thing. (vocabulary ... dying...)

HP Fandom: I hear ya. And now it's infected canon, too. Wailing and gnashing of teeth.

GAH your MOUTH. Its shape disturbs me.

Yes, shippers can be pretty annoying.

The Unhelpful Verdict

website! Update your website! But I hold no particular feelings to either photobucket/Picasa. Your drawings are you drawings (which, I think you'll agree, is true), and I will look at them where ever you put them. That's very helpful, isn't it? ...

I prefer Photobucket, if only because I'm more used to it and images seem to take less time to load on it. But at least Picasa doesn't appear to have annoying pop-ups like a few other image services, so I won't be devastated if you'll switch to it.

Photobucket has pop-ups? When you just go straight to an image? Ooooooooh that's nasty if it's true. (Having Firefox with Adblock has rendered me ignorant of most annoyingly advertised sites.)

No, I meant other, alternate image services like ImageShack. Photobucket is one of the few services that don't have pop-ups (yet), so I'm always a bit wary about other services. But as I said, at least Picasa doesn't appear to have them, so maybe it's alright.

Wait a moment ... is it possible that JKR neglected to hook up two minor characters by the end of the sixth book? I don't know whether to be disappointed or impressed.

Oh, I hear you on the 'shippers' thing. The ones in HP fandom are the most vicious I've ever seen.

Less vicious but equally rampant are the Avatar shippers. I swear Katara's been paired up with every other character.

Very quick, random thought...

I'm loving your Holmes drawings.
They remind me to rererad Sir A.C. Doyle's works, sitting in my closet...

But anyways, some time ago you had a post about a French animated film (about pirates), and you had a 2 minute clip or so, and I was wondering where/when you posted that? I was hoping to see it again...

The film was a student reel; that was the whole thing. You can find it easily by searching 'Pyrats' on Google. They've got a site and some nauseatingly awesome portfolios and everything.
