Snagged from Tann...
The Books in Order from Favorite to Least Favorite:
1. Prisoner of Azkaban
2. Deathly Hallows
3. Philosopher’s Stone
4. Chamber of Secrets
5. Goblet of Fire
6. Half-Blood Prince
7. Order of the Phoenix
Number of Times You Have Read the Series:
1. I lost count at 17. (it's a short book and the only HP one I had, for a while)
2. 7-9, probably
3. same, not counting the Shrieking Shack chapters
4. 5?
5. 2, and I wish I'd read just a summary the second
6. 2
7. 1 (so far)
Favorite Chapter from Your Favorite Book:
PoA, Chapter Nineteen: “The Servant of Lord Voldemort”
Five Favorite Characters:
PoA Remus Lupin, Harry (most of the time), Snape (because he is the most consistent and interesting),
Three Least Favorite Characters:
Grawp, Dobby, Viktor Krum
Favorite Member of the Trio:
Harry Potter
Three Favorite Magical Creatures:
Kneazles, nifflers, and hippogriffs as long as their legs work correctly (ahem MOVIE)
Favorite Family:
The Weasleys (really it's between them and the Malfoys... what other families do we know?)
Favorite Villain:
Sirius Black, when he is 'being' a villain, because he seems to pose the most immediate threat
Favorite Death Eater:
Lucius Malfoy (because of Makani)
Favorite Non-Hogwarts Magical Building:
The Burrow
Favorite Diagon Alley Location:
Does just the alley count? Seeing all the shop fronts would be cool. Otherwise maybe that Astronomy Gadgets place.
Three Favorite Spells:
Hmm, how many can I remember? Um ... Expelliarmus, Lumos, and Impervius
Three Favorite Potions:
Felix Felicis, Veritaserum (because it reminds me of Crystal Pepsi), and Wolfsbane
Favorite Unforgivable Curse:
Cruciatus ... it makes any situation more dramatic!
Favorite Department of Mysteries Room:
The one with the candles that spins.
Biggest Surprise:
Professor Quirrell. Even bigger because when I first read the book I was in the habit of opening a new book to a random page and reading a sample to test the quality of the writing, and the page I opened to began 'It was Quirrell.' So I had the whole thing spoiled for me but I completely forgot about it and was doubly surprised when I reached that chapter because part of the shock was that I had read it before.
Biggest Letdown:
In two parts:
1. That Rufus Scrimgeour had a rather minor role and was not as intensely cool as his leaked description made him out to be
2. That we never got to see his death scene, which I was hoping would be his chance to prove how cool he was in a last stand against the Dark Lord.
Favorite Mode of Transportation:
Apparation
Favorite Weasley:
Arthur, now I think of it...
Favorite Order Member:
Snape (though I liked him better as an Order Member when his motivations were still mysterious)
Favorite pet:
Scabbers; it's just hilarious.
One Character You’d Bring Back to Life:
Professor Quirrell. He seemed like he could have been an interesting character had he not been in the shortest book and relegated to a fairly background role until the end. Or maybe Scrimgeour so we could see him be something other than Minister of Magic vs Harry.
Moment That Will Always Make You Cry:
No moment has yet made me actually cry but I've gotten a little emotional somewhere in the chapter or two after Dumbledore's death.
Favorite Hogwarts Room:
The Ravenclaw Common Room
Favorite Class:
I would probably like Ancient Runes the best but we hardly know anything about it.
Favorite Teacher:
Remus Lupin
Favorite DADA teacher:
Remus Lupin
Least Favorite Teacher:
Prof Binns ... anyone who can make something as cool as the history of magic that boring is just BAD.
Favorite Non-Human Hogwarts Resident:
Fawkes
Favorite Hogsmeade Location:
Honeyduke's
Favorite Triwizard Champion:
Um ... Well, Harry, because we don't know much about Cedric, and Krum and Fleur are annoying
Favorite Triwizard Task:
The maze
Which Character You’d Ask to the Yule Ball:
Luna, 'cause we'd have fun watching people and having weird conversations
Which Character You’d Like to Use a Love Potion On:
I wouldn't do that to someone I actually liked but making Draco fall for just about anyone would be pretty funny.
Which Character You’d Like to Use Veritaserum On:
Quirrell
How Long You Have Been a HP Fan:
Eight years, almost exactly
Favorite Wizard Rock Band:
Only remember one and I don't think I'd like them...
Number of Midnight Releases You Have Attended:
I always turn up after midnight, or pick up the book on the road.
Favorite HP Website:
accio!Brain
Most Ridiculous Potter Theory You’ve Heard:
Don't remember... don't hang around fandom too much
Character You’re Most Like:
Mostly Hermione with a dash of Luna's weirdness
House You Think You’d Be Sorted Into:
Ravenclaw
Your Patronus Would Be A:
Cat, or maybe Raccoon ... or maybe crow ...
To You, Amortentia Would Smell Like:
Rain and gardenias or lily-of-the-valley
You’d Use Felix Felicis To:
Have a safe and hassle-free day of travel
The Job You Would Most Like to Try:
Magical Portrait Painter
Which You Would Rather See — a Sequel or a Prequel:
What I'd really like is a book about what went on at Hogwarts during the 7th book, but failing that, a prequel.
The Movies in Order from Favorite to Least Favorite:
Take the order they were released in and reverse it.
EITHER/OR...
Animagus or Metamorphmagus: Animagus, provided it could be a corvid. If you don't get to pick, being a Metamorphmagus would be useful.
Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans or Chocolate Frogs: Chocolate Frogs
Black or Lupin: Lupin
CAPSLOCK HARRY or Emo!Harry: CAPSLOCK HARRY ALL THE WAY
Death Eaters or Dumbledore’s Army: DA, duh, Death Eaters are lame. I mean, even the name! And the corny tattoo! And the way your boss likes to torture and kill his loyal followers! Geez.
Draco or Lucius: Both are hilarious in the hands of Makani but Lucius has more drawings and also looks like that 'reconstructed' George Washington so he edges out his son.
Durmstrang or Beaubaxtons: Beauxbatons probably has better food.
Floo powder or Broom: Broom
Fred or George: They have to play off each other otherwise what's the point? [Highlight the following to reveal big fat spoiler:]Notice how you never see George again after Fred dies?
Grimmauld Place or The Burrow: The Burrow
Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures: Herbology
Hippogriffs or Thestrals: Hippogriffs
Invisibility cloak or Pensieve: Invisibility Cloak
Mermish or Parselmouth: Parselmouth (you could use it in the real world!)
Occlumency or Legilimency: Occlumency ... I feel like I can read people's minds half the time anyway.
Peeves or Nearly Headless Nick: Nearly Headless Nick
Peter Pettigrew or Mundungus Fletcher: Peter, at least he's not an oik.
Professor Binns or Professor Umbridge: Umbridge, despite everything else, is at least interesting...
S.P.E.W or the Inquisitorial Squad: S.P.E.W.
The Ministry of Magic or Gringotts: Ministry of Magic
Three Broomsticks or The Leaky Cauldron: Three Broomsticks
Werewolf or Inferus: Werewolf (whatever happened to the promised 'Army of Inferi'?)
Whomping Willow or Flying Ford Anglia: Whomping Willow
Yule Ball or Quidditch Championship: Quidditch
One small DH spoiler and another one cleverly cloaked
