Howdy, all! My monitor's DEAD! (I'm posting from my sister's laptop.) Life is exciting.

So I've decided to launch something I've had up my sleeve since coming back from LA to an uncertain employment situation: COMMISSIONS.

Yeah, you heard me. If you're interested, stuff is

Please read to the end before getting too excited!

RATES:
I'm charging based on how much time it takes to do each thing, what with being a professional and all...
$10 - quick character sketch
$20 - scene with up to two characters
$5 for each additional character
$30 for colour, which will be my usual Photoshop/OpenCanvas colouring technique, I'm not doing fancy backgrounds because that would just take WAY too much time and you can't afford that.
$5 shipping if you want the original -- If you want me to send you the original, please say so in your request so I know to draw it on the right paper (9x12 acid-free sketch paper).

For now I'm going exclusively with PayPal unless you're Canadian and want to do that internet Interac thingy. (I'm sure there's an American version but I don't know how to use it.) We're ignoring the exchange rate because the two dollars are practically at par. If you're from the UK or somewhere else, PayPal can automatically convert to USD.

Please make your request as specific as possible ... I'll do pretty much anything in any fandom I'm familiar with, but please no porny stuff be it hetero or homo or whatever. Bleh. Nothing you wouldn't want me to show to your parents, I mean. Or my parents, for that matter. I can just see the whole request list filling up with requests for characters kissing ... oy ... if you can come up with something more creative than that, please do! I am particularly partial to canon things so I can go look up the context and specifics in the book.

I always miss out on things that are first-come-first-served so this is how I'm going to run it: I'm open for requests until noon on Wednesday. Email me your request (my email's in my userinfo and all over my site) and sometime Monday or early Tuesday I'll pick the ten I most like, and we can go from there ... when I've completed those I'll pick another ten, and keep going until either I run out or get a job, which will kind of eat into my commission time.

All right ... GO!

Is that in Canadian dollars, or US?

...bloody exchange rates! (I *DO* have Canadian cash left on me from back in March though!)

Heh, the exchange rate isn't much at the moment - you've only got 7.53 cents on us Canadians at the moment. XD

Oh, expect some cunning Master and Commander commissioning in the near future... as soon as I can think of a good scene that is...

Awesome! I wont be able to add anything but I do not doubt you will get tons! I am curious though, more for other people than myself (but partially just curious about your process) what paper you will be using. I ask specifically because if I was going to ask for the original, I would hope it was on something link bristol or drawing paper or something more archival than say bond (which I am known to use from time to time).

The exchange rates are so close right now that I'm just calling it par. If you're in the UK, though, or elsewhere, um ... we'll just let Paypal take care of that.

I'll be using acid free 9x12 sketch paper, I think it's about 24lb. I have loads of it sitting around, hence the not charging for materials.

*reads this, then looks at all the sketch books strewn about the room* You know, I think I use the same stuff! :-P

Cool idea! Sorry to hear things are not going well. Job hunting is tough, in any industry lately even the trades! There desperate for people with skill but hire few.. I use to sell some of my work at craft shows and flea markets but I gave up on it for a better job...

And yeah, Computers are not nice, i've had a few monitors just quit on me before. It sucks..

Oh, I'm not in doubt I'll find a job when I start looking for one, I just wasn't expecting my monitor to give up the ghost with no warning in the middle of my 'recharging' time. That's grocery money at this time of year, dangit!

What is the little blonde girl's name? I had about 3 books of her when I was a kid, and LOVED them.
