... but what does this say about Lucius Malfoy?
Peacock Falls in Love with Car
"It started when he fell in love with a Lexus, which was in a very distinct peacock blue," said Sir Benjamin.
... so not only is the bird extremely short-sighted and completely lacking a sense of proportion, but apparently gay. Peahens are brown. (Unless he mistook the car not for a mate but for a rival, which would make a little more sense.)

I'm not sure whether he would be a good familiar for Arthur Weasley or for Lucius?

Although, I agree that in this case the peacock was probably attacking what it thought was a rival bird.

My neighbor's kid had a birthday party one day in spring, and she had tied those big round silver balloons with Disney characters on them to her mailbox so the birthday party invitees could recognize her house. The day after the party, I found my turkey calmly standing next to the mailbox gazing up at it in total awe, her neck craned in a sexy "s" shape as she cuddled next to the wrought-iron post holding up the mailbox! Should anyone approach the mailbox, the hen would get all puffed up and start purring in attack-mode with her wings lowered, protectively circling her beloved mailbox. She stayed there for a month until my neighbor managed to untie the balloons.

English aristocrat Baronet Sir Benjamin Slade claims a "gay" peacock caused 4000 ($A9000) damage to a "peacock blue" Lexus car owned by an employee by trying to have sex with it. He told insurers the bird had to be gay because peahens are brown and only peacocks are blue.
funny how these things circulate...
