Rain, Rain, Rain
Dec. 18th, 2007 07:12 pmWOW, IT'S RAINING.
Just as well, as I was hardly feeling the Christmas spirit. Christmas = precipitation, apparently.
Boy, it doesn't rain much here, but when it does ... Whew! Usually my raincoat is enough to repel the most diligent of storms but it was completely trounced today.
Mostly I'm just writing because I am at the library (new item for my 'locations' collection!) and forgot to take home my printed reference for my work-to-do-while-I'm-away-from-work-working. And the sketchbook pages are just damp enough that it makes my pencil just that little bit annoyingly hard. I ought to get home and eat something but I am wet, home does not have a furnace, and the library does.
Oh, L-Space ... how I love you. Have a banana.
Except don't, because the sign over there says
NO FOOD PLEASE
WE HAVE
ANTS
Those must be some ants.
Also, motoring public: please turn your lights on when it is raining, even if it is daytime. A shiny grey car against a shiny grey road is surprisingly invisible, especially when everyone else has their lights on. (Living in a country with standard running lights has spoiled me so ...)
