'What if Hitler had won the war' is probably the single most popular premise for alternate-history fiction, and while I enjoy the genre I'm far from being an expert on it – nonetheless, even I had heard of Fatherland and had the impression it was the daddy of all Nazi A.H., so when they aired a radio play of it on BBC7 a couple years ago I made a point to listen. Now I understand why! And I recommend it to you.
Fatherland: Episode 1
Also, shows on BBC7 now have 'how to buy this' links on their respective webpages. I approve! What a great idea! I was recently astounded how many shows actually are available for purchase; we don't have a 'BBC Audio' section in our bookstores on this side of the pond. (Someone should have been filming me when I spotted that one in Soho, it would have made a great ad.)
