Special Offer, One Week Only: Fatherland
Jul. 26th, 2010 11:38 amThanks to BBC7's new 'Catch-up' scheme, you have another week to listen to Fatherland if you want to. Unfortunately they didn't number their episodes so I have thrown myself in the path of chaos and sorted them out for you:
Episode 1 - As the Fuhrer's 75th birthday celebrations approach, the discovery of a body in a river in Berlin makes detective March's life complicated
Episode 2 - Enter an American journalist and another mysterious SS 'suicide.' A greater story begins to emerge.
Episode 3 - Adventures with Swiss banks and secret documents. There has been a massive cover-up of what the government was up to during the war.
Episode 4 - The Gestapo take an interest in March; a plan is hatched to break the shocking news to the world.
Episode 5 - A number of plans come to fruition and the truth is finally revealed.
They should all work till next Saturday. I can say in all honesty this is one of the best radio productions I've ever heard; the acting, the pacing, the layered sound and everything make it a movie in your head. Of course it helps that it's a great story to start with ... If only the Discworld radio plays could be as lush.
