Remember Remember
Nov. 5th, 2011 04:42 pmNovember's all about remembering, it seems, but before we get to mud and blood and trenches and shells, let's remember the guy who didn't need a Guy Fawkes mask because that was his face,* because he was Guy Fawkes.
In the grand tradition of 'if you love it, mock it,' I link for your listening pleasure:
The Penny Dreadfuls present
GUY FAWKES
If you have never heard the Penny Dreadfuls before, I pity you, but not too much because you have the chance to be introduced now. Their previous radio outings have been more Victorian in theme, but they bring their surprisingly successful mélange of comedy and poignancy to the story of England's first(?) terrorist for this nearly feature-length piece. Enjoy, and be educated!
*Though I'm willing to bet his actual face wasn't designed by someone in WB's props department.
