The Green Door
Aug. 13th, 2012 05:33 pmI know I link to this every time it airs, but it left a distinct impression on my brain when I heard it first and I think it worthy of bringing to the world's attention whenever the opportunity arises.
The Green Door, a short story by H.G. Wells, is available on the station formerly known as BBC7, until next Sunday. I suppose one could say it's about opportunities lost and opportunities taken; it's a haunting little story on the purely literal level but on the allegorical it may change your life, or at least the way you think about the choices you make.
It's also changed forever the way I look at construction excavation hoardings, but that's another matter.
