Beautiful Burbank 31: The Email Tree
Mar. 20th, 2013 10:00 amI've been trying to break my habit of turning on my computer before I leave for work, but sometimes I refresh the email on my iPod and read it under this tree on the way in, in the morning.

They've started mowing the field. I don't know why. This year was so dry the growth hasn't got high at all. I tried not to take all my photos in the field but now I wish I'd taken more; by this time next week it'll be all dirt.
Sorry, that's not very beautiful or uplifting. This happens every year but it never stops being a disappointment when it does.
On the other hand, The Wind in the Willows is now available for download from AudioGO, which appears to be a site connected to the BBC and is much cheaper than iTunes. I really can't recommend it highly enough – if you missed it when it was on the iPlayer this is your second chance. It's like a glorious radio Sunday picnic and I can't stop smiling when I'm listening to it, so it'll be getting a lot of play today.
