I've been listening mainly to music and the audiobook of The Worst Journey in the World these past weeks, so this is a shortish list for how long it's taken to assemble. In light of the circumstances I'd advise you check the expiry date of any programme you may be interested in, to see how quickly you may need to listen to it.

THINKY THINGS
Cancer Moonshot - President Nixon declared 'War on Cancer' in 1971; this programme looks at the huge advances have been made in treating it since then, and whether or not they might have happened anyway.
The Infinite Monkey Cage: Climate Change - 'What is the climate? Is it changing? Is it our fault? And is there anything we can do about it? And should we do anything about it? Isn't it about time we finally allow the giant dragonflies to rule the world again, as we go smiling towards oblivion?'
Unhappy Child, Unhealthy Adult - There's enormous proof of the correlation between adverse childhood experiences and poor mental and physical health in adulthood; here we look at how that knowledge is being implemented to treat people in the UK and US.
Verdun: The Sacred Wound - Verdun was the only battle of WWI that France fought and won entirely on its own, and as such has taken a definitive place in the national consciousness. Two episodes.
In Our Time: Mary Magdalene - First apostle, Jesus' girlfriend, bold feminist, submissive penitent; Mary Magdalene has been made into any number of characters through history. A panel of experts goes over the knowns, unknowns, and mythology of the last 2000 years.
The Other Paris - The standard image of Paris is one of elegant pastel boulevards, but it's always had a seamy side, from bohemian Montmartre to the infamous banlieue suburbs.
A Point of View: Vanilla Happiness - Adam Gopnik goes a bit Arthur Shappey on the Secret of Happiness.
The Chrysalids - A new dramatisation of John Wyndham's classic sci-fi novel about mutation, fundamentalism, and the potential of the species.

TRIVIAL THINGS
Keep Calman Carry On - Susan Calman takes over the Thursday comedy slot, with a series in which she tries her friends' pastimes in an attempt to relax. This episode has completely sold me on cricket, though sadly I am not friends with Andy Zaltzman so will need to find a cricket-enabler.
Dilemma - Sue Perkins goads her comical panellists to make morally ambiguous decisions.
Museum of Curiosity - I actually haven't listened to this one yet, but Ms Calman is among the guests, so that's all I need to put it on the list.
Scandal in Bohemia - Clive Merrison and Michael Williams as Holmes and Watson – listen and you may hear why this is the definitive canon Holmes adaptation for me. The series continues for the next week or so, hurrah!
Chris Addison's Civilisation - 'The thinking idiot's anthropologist' ponders what may be coming up for mankind. May pair nicely with The Chrysalids, above.
Neverwhere - I have a bit of a Gaiman block, and this dramatisation of his Alternate London is no exception, but I know lots of people love him to pieces, so if you've been waiting for a rerun of this, here it is.
Pilgrim - If you're into modern fantasy à la Neverwhere, you may also like this series, about an immortal wanderer forever caught between 'reality' and Faerie.
