A Prairie Home Companion's Joke Show is almost worth not being able to find whole cardamoms in the grocery store.

And then I remembered PHC is online now, and was sad.

At least I've found a public radio station that is not eclectic music 90% of the day.

It might be the seven years' absence, but I am finding the pledge drive almost entertaining in itself. Does this make me unhinged?

It's the different sales techniques and Ira Glass's recorded interstitials, the drama when they have a challenge grant, and the desperation in the voices of people who obviously did not enter this field because they were good at sales. I'm sure it'll get old by Wednesday...
