The BBC is livestreaming their election coverage, hosted by David Dimbleby, who positively embodies the word 'aplomb'. Also featured is the guy who got worn out flapping at his green-screen map four years ago; tonight I suspect his knees will give out, as he constantly has to crouch to gesture towards CG graphics which the show's designers, in their infinite widsom, have decided to place at coffee-table height. Guests are all eminently caricaturable! It doesn't have quite the giddy atmosphere it did four years ago, but it's certain to be less annoying than any US media coverage, and Mr Dimbleby's already dropped a couple dry quips, so we're off to a good start.
