Cabin Pressure Advent: Cremona

"Well it's a nice room."
I wasn't intending to do a fully-rendered colour piece, but if I left it in line you wouldn't be able to tell they were in an elevator, and as soon as I dropped in the marble texture it demanded more than just a values wash ... so now it's 1:10 am, but I have something I like.
I had decided I wanted to buck expectations with my depiction of Hester Macauley, but listening to her voice, she simply had to be bony, have long straight blonde hair, and a wide mouth with narrow lips; there was no getting around it. Next time!
Really looking forward to Douz ... but now, sleep.

Date: 2014-12-05 01:29 am (UTC)Hester looks just about old enough to have played the Lady of the Lake, but still be pretty, in that bony, slightly-overstretched way modern leading ladies in Hollywood tend to be. I love the contrast with Douglas' more mobile face.

Date: 2014-12-05 11:18 am (UTC)SO MUCH LOVE!!
And seriously, as someone who has problems drawing a line drawing of a rubber duck in her Xmas cards, this is awesome... of course, I also failed O'Levels art, so yeah...I'll stick with photography. ;)
Again, LOVE THIS!!! :D
ETA: I just realised that my icon, while featuring Donna, is actually saying something Arthur would say, which I completely agree. Hee!

Date: 2014-12-05 02:25 pm (UTC)As someone who does art for a living I'm still inordinately proud of this one – it turned out far better than I hoped, never mind expected. :D
Icon yay! Has anyone ever written an Arthur-as-Companion fic? Seems like a sure-fire idea to me ...
