This has been my day so far:

8:00 - Out of bed (I got home late last night)
9:00 - Check Twitter, see Sue Perkins is doing a book signing in Cambridge today
9:00:10 - Internal hummingbird mode
9:00:30 - Figure that is the optimum place to get spoiled for the Bake Off finale
9:10-10:10 - Watch Bake Off finale while trying to get some work done, have a little sniffle
10:15-11:36 - Try to get some more work done. Learn how to use bookmarks in TV Paint. Set up hotkeys. Don't actually get much work done.
11:37 - Figure I'll concentrate better with Radio 4. Turn on Radio 4. It's Dilemma. Of course.
11:37-12:00 - Find it unsurprisingly difficult to concentrate
12:10 - Shower
12:30 - Poke at work a little more
12:48 - Head to Heffer's (bookshop)
1:10 - Buy Sue's book and join the queue. Read the book in the queue. Ponder how one can be drawn to a person so long before finding you have a surprising number of commonalities.
1:45 - Within five people of the front of the queue, Ian from Bake Off* turns up, with a box of biscuits for Sue. A fuss is made.
1:55 - Get book signed and picture with Sue(??!!?!?!) who was really nice and not at all impatient with my inane comment about the weather
1:58 - Slink out of Heffer's without asking Ian if he is a wizard.
2:00-2:50 - Bells of Great St Mary's, filming something 1930s? on King's Parade, stop by market for veg, lose all perception of the boundary between the inside and outside of my head
3:00 - Sit down to work. Ha ha ha. What's on Radio 4 ...

*For those who may not have been following my social media footprint in minute detail: I have a running theory that Cambridgeshire is full of wizards, borne out by a) people-watching in Cambridge and b)several forays into greater Cambridgeshire. Ian is from Cambridgeshire, and is definitely a wizard. I came to this conclusion in early September; we see his house in the finale which aired last week, and that quashes any doubt on the matter.
