The bit where Howl goes to Wales ... it's totally unexpected and just great. You're just so used to assuming it's a completely disconnected fantasy world and then suddenly – what? Wales? Mind-bending.

That's practically the only part of the book I remembered when I went to see the film. I wasn't expecting it to be a literal translation but I was hoping to see my favourite scene in some way, what with all its cinematic mind-bending potential.
