It's been a while since I updated, and I know how much the whole world hangs on my every word,* so just to prove I am, in fact, still alive, here is a humourous picture I took almost a year ago:

This is proof that there must be a God, because random fluctuations in the space-time continuum can't have that daft a sense of humour.

Okay, I'm disappearing again.

*Mostly to see if I will ever utter the words 'Harry' and 'Potter' in the same sentence again – gasp! Look at that!

That picture has me convinced.

I'm farm ore interested in the words 'Monstrous' and 'Regiment.'

*whistle* phallic symbols from above - even God couldn't resist ;D

in all seriousness, though, I've enjoyed all of your artwork irregardless of it's relation to Harry Potter - *that* was the original draw, now I'm here for the art itself. Fanboy, y'know.

Moreover, you've introduced me (and probably many others) to Terry Pratchett and other relative unknowns through your art... now I look at people who've never heard of Pterry and shake my head in a mixture of pity and contempt, thinking, "My God, I used to be thusly deprived." Thanks for that.

~DarthDylanBlue, because I'm incapable of logging in yet again...

*Stares long and hard at the picture*

I think I just made a sort of "woooooah" noise like a very quiet foghorn.

And hey, I MAY be highly interested in the words "Harry" and "Potter" but it doesn't mean everything else you have to say/show isn't interesting too. Like this picture for instance. I'm making the "woooooah" noise again, right now.

Woooooooooah.

Er... I wasn't thinking that, but okay. \: ' [tilts head] ... oh my. Nanny Ogg would have something to say about that.

I am flattered that your admiration for my drawings has transcended Potter boundaries! Now I have to get them to a calibre deserving of such accolades...

I share your feelings towards the poor unfortunate Pratchett-deprived – hence my spreading of the good news by the only means I know how. You can have well-developed characters and a well-structured plot in the same book! It can be entertaining and profound at the same time! Cast off the shackles of literary snobbery and laugh – laugh – at footnotes! Rejoice!

Do you carry a camera around with you all the time just in case something like that happens? ...Because that is awesome.

Heh, that's a great picture. I see a lot of interesting things, but I never have a camera to take photos of them.

And admittedly, it was the Potter art that first drew me, but now it's because you say things worth listening to - or reading, as the case may be - and draw good pictures that have nothing to do with Potter.

This has been Azvolrien.

Cute!

I love seeing spontaneous images like that! And yes, God has a sense of humor. He made flies so we could appreciate mosquitoes.

That's a really weird picture indeed!
I've been following your art and livejournal for some time (I even emailed you a loooong time ago), but it's the first time I post. Ever since you started mentioning all these Pratchet books you read you've made me really curious and now thanks to you I'll have to buy them. Could you recommend me one or tell me which is the first one or something?
BTW can I add you to my friends list?

I started reading Pratchett because of this blog, too. I've now read them all and am on second readings of a lot. I'm not sure if I should love you for introducing me to them, or hate you for giving me a new addiction that eats up money and time (I've bought and read them all in the past 4 months.)

Regardless, it sounds like quite a few people have been introduced to Pratchett by you. Well done.

If you're reading Pterry, anywhere BUT the beginning is a good place to start.

Try Small Gods, Monstrous Regiment, Thief of Time or Sourcery to start. :)

Did I say "Sourcery"? I meant Men at Arms. RLY.

Although Sourcery's cool, too.

I second that, and also add Pyramids and Soul Music as good starters.

The only ones you really shouldn't start with are Night Watch and Thud! – the 'first' ones are okay but definitely don't give a good representation of the rest of the series.

I started reading your lj for the Potter, but your Pratchett enthusiasm coupled with a sharp poke in the ribs by a rabid Pratchett fan wielding Small Gods got me into Discworld. Then my college's bookstore got a display full of Pratchett books to tempt my meagre expenses. How the insanity spreads! The turtle moooooves!
