Arrrgghh! I am just finishing Bruce Feiler's wonderful "Where God was Born" about Middle Eastern bible geography and the commonalities and historical between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The author hopes for better dialogue between the three. Your article shows how hard the task is.

Kind of interesting that Feiler's book, this article and "Small Gods" are all happening at once these days for me. Interesting connections between all of them.
