Choir resumed this week (i.e. earlier this evening) for the Spring term and we are singing Carmina Burana which is a heck of a lot of fun even if I know just enough Latin that the words make me feel dirty. I think I shall sing second soprano because I just can't sing that many As and Bs for the duration of the piece... We're also singing a setting of Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky" which is tremendous amounts of amusement as well. Then there's the added benefit of singing in neato languages line Xhosa (?) and Australian Aborignal.

Another good thing about choir is that in between the Women's Choir and Festival Chorus rehearsals I get about fifteen minutes alone with my sketchbook, and this week was particularly productive:

... In blatant mimicry of the Amazing Mr. Helquist. I don't remember if he drew this particular character, but here she is anyway. The mysterious ... K!

Oo. VERY cool interpretation. I like how you gave her a subtle resemblance to your drawing of Jaques. I love the gloves (how canon of you) and the elegant hair and face. Very pointy nose. Keep it up :-D
