Terry Pratchett and Ian Stewart on Einstein:
Relatively Einstein - this only works until Wednesday so hurry and listen to it now!

BBC QUOTE OF THE DAY:
The first recorded city was Ur, so named because it had no sanitation.

This is great, thank you so much! I especially loved the part about Einstein's hair.

You should post it to the discworld community, too.

Howdee!

I have to listen to this when I get to a stronger computer than my little Mac Baby I use at home. Thanks for sharing, though! I never get enough Pratchett stuff to adore.

I did just stumble on this from the "Libertarian TImes" about Terry Pratchett. It really makes me feel less stupid for railing about "Going Postal" as being the continuation of Robert Heinlein's works (and even better than Heinlein since Pratchett is really, really open-minded about embracing divertingly). I also did not know that "NIghtwatch" won a Libertarian award for best libertarian sci fi novel! I just wish "Going Postal" did as well since it was even more libertarian.

Here is the article and discussion http://www.TheAdvocates.org/celebrities/terry-pratchett.html

Also I had to add that the "Ur"comment was hilarious. I alwaus under the impression that the first known community (city?) was çqtul hùyuk in what is now Turkey. This sanitation argument about Ur does have its points, though :-)

Ton of fun

Wow - that was really interesting AND entertaining (should I expect anything less from Pratchett?). Too bad it's not available for sale somewhere. Well, some things are all the more precious for being temporary, right? Thanks for alerting us just in time!
