A combination of coffee, Discworld IV*, and a daunting board that I really should be doing combined to make me actually want to draw for the first time in weeks. Sure, there are anatomy problems and ... and stuff, but ... I drew it. This is progress.

Of course, this sudden renewal of drawing juice couldn't have come at a less appropriate time** ... oh well. I wish I could bottle it.

*that's 'intravenous' not 'four'
**actually it probably could, but I'm not going to bother to try to come up with an example

Hi.

Not unless he happens to be a Chesapeake Bay Diamondback Terrapin (turtle), which is the official state animal of Maryland and mascot of the University of Maryland. On the other hand, there is evidence he may be living in West Virginia...

Actually, when the University of Maryland made it to the National College Athletic Association Basketball Finals a few years ago there was so much media humor about how a team named after turtles could make it as basketball players. Thus was "Fear the Turtle" born. I so wished they had used the slogan "The Turtle Moves." It would have been perfect and probably gotten our poor university sued to the ground for copyright infringement. "Fear the Turtle" still gets a lot of laughs. The above logo was actually for an airport ad about U of MD research services. :-)
