Most computers come with a sort of rudimentary sound recorder, but you can find a number of slightly fancier freeware ones online. I've got WavePad, which works well enough for me.

Actually, there's a really good essay on MuggleNet that gives really good reasons on who probably will die in book 7. It also explains a whole lot about books 5-7, and the meanings behind them. Enjoy!

I will weep if he dies. More than I did when the big D went, and that's saying something. Lupin was my first favorite character in the series, then Snape, and that's because those two characters are the most intricately developed, and it would be just cruel if she were to take either one or both from us. :(

Well, logic would dictate that it'd have to be Harry and Voldemort ... You know Voldemort's gotta die, and who else to accompany him but his nemesis? It'd give Harry the ultimate mantle of heroism to have given his life to defeat evil. On the other hand, if one applies the anime cliché of 'He who redeems himself dies shortly after,' that'd take care of Snape (in theory) and another cliché of 'He who finally finds happiness/love dies shortly after' would doom Lupin.

I think Harry will die, mainly because I really think Harry is an accidental horcrux. Think about it, part of Voldemort's magic passed to Harry the night He had tried to kill him. Therefore, he'd have to go down as well for Voldemort to truly be dead.

You could similarly use clichés to kill off Ron, Ginny, Neville, Hermione, and any number of other characters ... only time will tell.

Well, look at it this way. If he is one of the unfortunates, at least he'll have a really big part in the beginning. In Book 5, Sirius had a big part. In Book 6, Dumbledore had a larger part than usual (especially in the beginning.) At least he'll have stuff to do again, rather than just being there to tell something important.

But, yes, I'd much rather him not die.

Lupin and Snape are two of the best-developed characters in the books, but whereas Snape keeps being reinforced and developed further as the series progresses, Lupin was (regrettably) left to fend for himself after Azkaban. This neglect is a mixed bag: on one hand, it makes him less enjoyable in the later books, but on the other it makes him a less likely candidate for snuffing.

I think it's Remus and Harry, Dumbledore and Sirius already died, and they were my favorite characters. So it would figure if she killed off my other favorite characters. I think Remus is going to die because the rest of the marauders are dead. (I say that because I don't count wormtail anymore.) And she hints toward harry dieing, but she may just be fooling with our heads...

PS. Are you going to update your site with some new HP soon? I love looking at your artwork.

I don't want him to die either !
But I he die it would be a little like "James died, Sirius died, Peter's gonna die and Remus' gonna die too", it would be a little too much for the Marauders and the generation pre-Harry, wouldn't it ? In my opinion, JKR's gonna let Remus lives because he represents all these loss and these sufferings...
AND he must be there for Harry, and for Tonks because he deserves happiness...

I just discovered your HP work today. I have been a HP fan for a short while, but I have just recently gotten into the online HP world to feed my addiction! I found your site today, and I love it. I am a writer, not an artist, and I have had a hard time invisioning exactly what I think Sirius looks like. He is my absolute favorite character and not having a developed image in my head has always bothered me, but I am just not satisfied with the ones that I have found on other sites and the one on the movie. Your Sirius is really great, though. Thanks for sharing your work, and thanks for not doing all of the porny rubbish. :)

Um, guys, you all seem to be assuming that only two characters will die. That might not be the case. She only said "two characters that she hadn't planned on killing before". That means that she could have been planning to kill nearly the entire cast, and then added these two in also at the last minute.
Lupin will bite the dust. I think he will get sick of being use and abused as one of Harry's father figures and asking "WTF?!" about his never-before-hinted-at relationship with a younger woman (seriously, he was graduating Hogwarts when Tonks was born), and he's just going to off himself. That's my theory, at least. Besides, ALL of Harry's father figures die. I'm just waiting for Hagrid to go.
As for the other unplanned one...I'm not going to say "Snape!", because I think she's been planning [i]that[/i] one since day one. And it can't be Harry. Why? See the first sentence of this paragraph. Instead, I'm going to pull a name out of a hat...

Very good point. It'll be a slaughter. I think it a little unlikely Lupin will do himself in (at least not intentionally) but he's got to be on the chopping block.
