He went back to his lodgings and had a look at himself in the mirror over the washbasin. A large R, printed in bruise colours, occupied a lot of his forehead.
He stuck a bandage over it.

The Truth, pg 21

My mind is a web of madness.

If you get two out of three, you're doing well...

And now, let us remember the drawings that died to make it all possible...

Those unrelated faces are from a history show I was watching at the time. Yay history!
I spent waaaay more time on this than I should have. And I'm still not happy with William's hair in the front view. But dangit, you just have to draw the line somewhere! (... so to speak ...)

In case anyone is wondering, the non-Truthy elements are FLCL and Red Dwarf. Worth checking out. But more than a little mad. Maaaaad!

I wish I got this. Oh well, it's fun to look at the motions of the drawings anyways. I love them. :D

I'm sure one of us could send you some links to illuminate you. Basically, in FLCL, a boy gets run over by an apparently insane older girl in a vespa (Haruko), and gets a nasty (weirdly-shaped) bump on the head. Whenever she (or another much older girl) manages to arouse him in some inappropriate, kinky way, giant robots burst out of his head and fight eachother! (it's really twisted stuff)
Rimmer (the guy with the "H" on his forhead) is a "hologram" - a computer copy - all that's left of the original crewmember of "Red Dwarf", which was set adrift in space for eons (one of the other crewmembers was a cat that eventually evolved into a jive-talking black guy that wears a zoot suit)
As far as "The Truth" is concerned, I'm afraid you're on your own, since I haven't read it. Sorry!
