Continuing with my Assignment ... I've done a little more work on the boards but I'm not patient enough to wait till it's all done before I put it up, so here are the first two scenes:

1 2 3
4 5

1. [no dialogue]
2. Get
3. back!
4. This knife
5. is very sharp!

I WISH! :) Then everyone could see what I see in my head when I'm reading them ... but alas, it is far too great a task for one mere rusty animator. Alas.

... And again I say alas.

You are fantastic. I just finished THE END and this was a great treat to see, as it is from my favorite book. We should swap art and what not, am I on your flist? I am working on a drawing of Violet, Klaus and Sunny as adults, working for VFD under secret names.

Wonderful progress with the storyboard!  Despite the fact that it's considered a "rough draft," your Klaus is so expressive, even in the face alone.

Yeah, well, these aren't due in a week on top of a lot of other work ... and they have eeeeevil greytones in them.

(Then there's the bit about teachers setting an example for the class regarding effort and stuff ... but I'm feeling diplomatic today so I'll leave it at that.)

I think it's pretty amazing how you've been able to adapt to Brett Helquist's style so well. This is really good, and I'm with them... I wish you could animate some movies!!

How can you do that?!? Every time you draw something it turns out to be AMAZING even if it just took you 5 seconds, I hate to feel jealous...but I do.

Um ... if you average it out, each of these panels took a little over an hour.
