Sketchy Booky Sketchy Book

It's that time again!
It was 11:30 PM on Friday and I was on my way to bed when I realised I hadn't done my sketchbook page. And I didn't particularly care. In penance for this, I did two more pages of Ratigan and a page of bus people on Monday on top of life drawing which would otherwise have counted all on its own.
Page 1 - Ratigan, being musical.
Page 2 - Ratigan, being angry; also, a young girl with prematurely bald eyebrows and skeletal facial structure, who was on the bus, and an attempt at rehashing Tawneee from Thud! based on some old drawings I found and without actually reacquainting myself with the character via the text. Oddly enough, she looks just as bad as my other drawings! My sister's right, when I try to draw pretty girls it just looks like I'd rather be drawing a guy, or a more interesting girl. (I would.) I'd also like to add I can't draw pretty girls without subconsciously trying to be satirical.
Page 3 - Bus people, including one of the guys from life drawing (not the model) who was reading Goblet of Fire.
TODAY - I'd been working on my portfolio all day (i.e. moving images around on a screen) and, much as with Friday, realized I hadn't drawn anything all day, so I asked the person I was chatting with for a suggestion and he said 'The oldest creature in the world.' I resisted the temptation to be a lazy smartypants and draw a bacterium. That only took up half a page so the rest was filled with rabbits (thanks to a mention of Watership Down earlier in the day) and a kitten in a blanket (pertaining to a previous part of the conversation).
I just might have my portfolio done* by this time tomorrow. Especially as I have been rather unwisely downing strong green tea since 6pm. Heheh ... miles to go before I sleep.
*pending expert consultation and revision
1:35 am: I like how I still habitually check my Friends page at 1 in the morning. Like anyone's going to be posting. ;)

Date: 2007-03-07 01:16 pm (UTC)Welcome to my Hell! :P And then when I get into the habit of drawing females, going back to draw guys becomes next to impossible! Ugh!
LOL! Is that a coelacanth? He's AWESOME! He looks like he needs one of those "I've fallen and I can't get up" button-things. XD
Is Ratigan wearing a skirt with high heals? =O

Date: 2007-03-08 01:29 pm (UTC)Aye! He's a dainty one! :) Like one of those guys that have a fetish for secretly donning their mother's clothing when no one is around.
Very Bates-esque!
(I really should get my masters in Mental Health counseling! XP)

Dans le milieu on ne peut trouver mieux
Est la pire créature de Dieu
Ô Rattigan, Ô Rattigan
Sanglant est brutal
Ô Rattigan, Ô Rattigan
Tu es le grand génie du Maaaaaaal !!
I used to be in love with Basil.
Sweet childhood...

Date: 2007-03-07 07:53 pm (UTC)As for oldest creature in the world - you should have drawn a young man with an axe standing next to a bristlecone pine in Nevada. Aforementioned caption and arrow pointing to the tree, another arrow and caption reading: [deadest grad student in the world] next to the man.
