Mar. 25th, 2007 10:09 pmOh, this week started so well ... then I became unusually social and the sketchbook fell by the wayside. Now I have to make up for it, but my drawing hand seems to be on strike, or possibly stupidity leave. I'm trying to blame it on a couple of extremely late nights, but that doesn't explain how I managed to draw all through college ... Anyway, I owe three pages, but only did two because it was a losing battle. I'll do an extra one after life drawing tomorrow.
Page 1 - You can see the one little bit of a drawing I did on Friday... The rest is trying to graphically capture an odd little visualization of who I thought should be Morpheus but upon research learned should be Hypnos. Greek god of sleep. He is both my steadfast companion and my nemesis. Based largely on the poster for Amadeus... something about the shape of that hat always struck me as slightly creepy.
Page 2 - Trying some Watson scenes that I had planned to do Friday when I was on a ridiculous Holmes high, before I ended up actually talking to people ... the first is with Mary Morstan in The Sign of the Four and the others are trying to get his reaction to Holmes' announcement of engagement in the fabulous and hilarious Charles Augustus Milverton, until I gave up in despair at my pencil doing anything worthwhile tonight.

Date: 2007-03-26 03:13 pm (UTC)Oh, and your drawings of Holmes and Watson are far superior to the latest BBC casting of them in The Baker Street Irregulars. I think maybe it's set in the future or something. But Jonathan Pryce and Bill Patterson just don't work for me, they're too soft round the edges, heh.
