It's a sign of hardcore fandom when you start having dreams about the books you like. It's also a very clear sign of which characters are your favorites.
....and... I would SO never share my dreams about kissing certain HP characters. Those girls have guts.
Okay, one would probably classify me as a pretty hardcore fan of whatever I'm into at the time ... but I hardly ever have dreams about books or movies. I've had maybe two HP dreams, two dreams that are sort of tangentially related to the Snicket books, and one totally awesome M&C dream - but that's it! The only thing that has ever affected my subconscious enough to keep turning up in dreams is The Great Escape, which, after one viewing in my Grade 8 history class, spawned dreams for months afterwards.
I think I maintain this page out of sheer jealousy...
I used to have this one dream over and over. There was this creepy bookstore owner, and you could never see his/her face. And they would push this cart over by me and wedged in the middle, hidden, would be the next Lemony Snicket book.
No no no, dreams relating to fictional universes with which I am particularly enamoured at the time.
Weird dreams are a dime a dozen... though they have been significantly tamer since high school. My theory is that my brain suffers from a reality deficit and so forces me to live in a humdrum world of the everyday in my sleep.
