Last-Minute Scrawling

Rather a disappointing sketchbook today for members of any fandom ... just a few stabs at that Viking mascot again. And a rough Holmes playing the violin which I disapproved of enough not to finish. For one thing, it looks more like a viola... I've frequently thought it would be more comfortable to play a viola strung as a violin (is there anything preventing this?) but this is a sorry excuse for an inaccurate drawing.

I can't fit my fingers around a viola neck right. *grimace* I think it's the string length, as well, and it may have something to do with the resonance chamber being bigger. The notes probably just wouldn't sound right.

Well, I've tuned my violin as a viola before for fun... dunno if you could go the other way.

The fact that you've been dumping lovely sketches of Holmes recently makes me geekily happy for some reason... and I haven't even read nearly enough of his stories.
